Dear Mr. President,
soon we will celebrate the first anniversary of the Smolensk disaster, which killed Polish president and his wife and more than ninety accompanying high representatives of our country.
In the history of other countries, it is difficult to find a similar tragedy, which at one time on such a scale dotknęłaby key state institutions and representatives of so many social groups.
In this unprecedented disaster not having suffered the death of the persons who were associated with our city. Just to mention Deputy Speaker - George Szmajdziński and last President of the Republic of Poland in exile - Mr Ryszard Kaczorowski - honorary citizen of Jelenia Gora.
